Real food

We started giving Grace solid food about a month ago, and she is eating everything we put in front of her. As a baby shower gift my friend Jenny bought us the Beaba Baby Cook, (thank you Jen it's awesome). It is the coolest thing we have in our kitchen. So, recently I started making all of Grace's baby food. To date I have made peas, plums, carrots, zucchini, peaches, sweet potatoes, and plums. She has loved everything so far. You have to check out the video below. It is the first time she tried the homemade plums...it's pretty funny.

After starting her on solid food I thought for sure she would sleep a little longer, but that isn't necessarily the case. Most of the time she is waking up at 4 or 4:30 to get an early morning snack and then back to sleep until 6:00 or so. I can't complain. She is down every night by about 7:00 and is a sound sleeper.
I can't believe our little girl is almost 7 months old. I'm so thankful for our happy and healthy angel. She brings me so much joy, more than I could have ever imagined. I love you G.

Family Vacation = Lots of pictures

At the end of July we went on a 10 day trip to Mammoth with our families. The first 5 days was with my family and the next 5 were with the Gregory's. While we were there Grace learned what fishing was all about, saw Devil's Postpile (about a 5 mile hike), loved being with all of her cousin's, aunts, uncles, and Grandma's and Grandpas, almost saw a bear, but missed it by a day, and overall loved her first vacation. Notice the wine bottle in the background in the above picture...yes, we drank wine and fished!!

While we were up there we made a great investment in this carrier. Grace loves it as you can see. I highly recommend it -by Kelty

Krista, Jason and Jack wanted to get in the water...it was freezing. They didn't care!
Murphy wanted to come fishing with us. Such a sad looking dog. He loves Mammoth.
Our hike to Devils Postpile. G was awesome, she slept most of the way.

Mom, Marysol, Jack, Jason and Krista at the end of our hike dipping their feet in the water.

Now, pictures from the Gregory trip...

Jason P and EZ getting ready to catch some fish at Lake Mary
EZ and Violet getting super dirty. It might be hard to tell, but V's face is covered with dirt.
Nanny and V
Carrie and Gavin waiting for a bite
Poppy just getting started!
I love this picture of EZ- he has found other things to do while everyone else sits and stares at their fishing poles.
Gavin is quite the fisherman
V's turn with the net
The rule is: You have to kiss your first fish. Yuck!

We brought the jumper for G which was very entertaining for everyone.

Can you see EZ looking at the fish? Gavin is so proud standing next to the fish he helped reel in.

Dan and Bethany, we missed you guys! Next year is a must.
