My little girl turns 2

Honestly, where did the time go? My sweet little Grace turned two today. She is such a ray of sunshine and blessing to our family. Two years ago today, my named changed forever, and it has been the greatest two years. Grace has a personality that is bigger than life and has a way about her that I have never seen in any other kid. Granted...she is also the typical two year old at times. She loves talking, singing, dancing, playing with cousins, friends, and anyone else that will pay attention to her. She is gentle and sweet, and at the same time, energetic and silly. She gives the best hugs and kisses and it makes me smile when I see her give them to Leah. She is pure joy, a wonderful big sister and is a daddy's girl through and through. Happy Birthday Grace Rose! I love you sweet girl. Here is somewhat of a progression of the day.
First thing this morning when she woke up.
Opening presents from Grandma

Birthday trip to the Santa Ana Zoo.

Just finished dinner, waiting for Cold Stone Ice Cream
I love this grin
Her very first ice cream cone

So happy
Still working on it!
Leah: wow, that looks good! Grace: No, mine! Leah: Not sure that would sit well in my tummy anyhow, seeing that I just got done puking my entire dinner up less than an hour ago! (both girls have had the flu over the last week and Leah is still fighting through it)
I think she is done with her cone at this point.
I love how excited she is to open her presents.
New plasma car...not quite ready to ride. Dads project after girls are asleep.
The Birthday Girl with Mommy and Daddy
The family right before bed. Notice how Grace has her arm around Leah, she does that all day. Her new favorite thing is getting as close to Leah's face as possible and talking to her. It's adorable.

Grace got an early birthday present on Sunday to share with Leah. Two gold fish which she named, Dorothy and Flounder.

Family- Just pictures

I have so many pictures that I want to post, but only had time to pick a few. Don't let this first picture stop you from looking at the rest. For some reason I couldn't get this picture to save once I turned it...cute picture of Leah with her reindeer ears on. The girls and their stockings Christmas morning
My big brother Eric, whom I love so much.
Adorable couple. Bethany and Daniel.
I thought she was asleep. Apparently not!
Poppy and Grace.
Aunt Carrie and Leah
The twins on their 7th Birthday. Jack and Jason. I can't believe they are 7!
My, oh so handsome, husband. I love him more than anything.
Uncle Eric and Grace.
Christmas morning at Grandma's house.
The cousins. Leah, Violet (Miss V), and Grace. They might cause trouble in their later years.
So cute!
This is what happens when Grace is given the opportunity to play with stickers. Leah doesn't seem to mind.

More family pictures to come.

Santa photo

The photo with Santa did not go as planned. Grace was half crying, half smiling. She was shaking she was so scared, so I jumped in with her to get the picture. Leah could care less...the one who doesn't go to anyone but her mom and dad!

Our Girls

Leah is now 6 months old, and in two short months Grace will be "2". I think 6 months was the marker for Leah to turn into a completely different child. She is so happy (yes, I did say happy) and will just sit (she is now sitting by herself) and play for 20 minutes at a time. She is napping well during the day. She has consistently been sleeping about 8 hours before eating again and then going back to sleep.
Grace is a total crack up. She is talking so much, loving life, loves being a big sister (when Leah is not crying), so friendly with other kids and adults, and just a pure joy. Leah loves to just watch Grace. It is so adorable how much they love each other. I don't want that to change :/
The time is going way too fast. I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to be home with my girls and watch them as they develop their own little personalities and enjoy moments like the ones in the pictures below. These pictures were just a few from the last week.
Grace wanted to wear the beanie, don't ask me why!

Such a cute little smile.
"Whoa, I'm just learning this sitting thing, please don't leave me!"
Our Christmas Tree, the perfect one!
J with two of his favorite girls after decorating the tree.

They are both looking at a book together. So sweet!
Kisses
Getting ready for bath time.
They both love the bath, especially now that Leah can sit up on her own.
